The intended users of this Library and its manual are people who use, or
plan to use, the User Keyboard and the Custom Menu. Anyway, people who are
not interested in these arguments can find in SmartKeys some interesting
things.
However, if you don't use the User Keyboard and/or the Custom Menu because
you don't find them useful, SmartKeys will give you a lot of good reasons to
use them, believe me!
Over an year has passed since the first version of SmartKeys have been
developed (Christmas 1991). During this year SmartKeys has grown a lot, in
power and in size. I had never tought it could became so big and so powerful.
With this last version of SmartKeys all my ideas on how to improve it have
been finally transformed into executable code. Now it's the time to ask
loudly for some input from the users. If you have ideas on how to improve
SmartKeys and its customization capabilities, please contact me.
The future of this tool depends on you, please support GiftWare.
What's New in version 1.59?
---------------------------
The preceding release of SmartKeys was the version 1.46, some commands have
been modified or added since then. If you have used a preceding version it's
best you read again the whole manual because of all the improvements. On the
contrary, if you have used version 1.46, you should read only (?) the
following things to make a good use of this new version and to avoid
disastrous effects:
- Paragraph 2.1: Important Notes
Note A
Note B
Note C
Note D
Note K
Note L
- Paragraph 2.2: Commands in the SmartKeys menu
- Paragraph 2.3: Description of each command (in order of appearance)
Command ASNK
Command RCLK
Command DELK
Command DISPK
Command STDK
Command KEYN
Command \->IF1KTE (new)
Command DOKEY (new)
Command \->CSTM (was CRCSTM)
Command \->MENU (new)
Command HTRIM (new)
Finally, the manual has been rearranged, some examples have been added and a
Quick Reference Guide was included as appendix C.
For portability the manual was formatted with a maximum line lenght of 78
characters (not including LineFeeds) and has been written using exclusively
ASCII characters. It is now in a printable form: it consist of 29 pages of 66
lines each.
